It is not only the cost per GIG but the quality of service, I.e. 100% availability of signal and the strength of the signal.

I had a data contract with Vodacom which initially was at R 150 per month. However, every month it was much higher and they told me that my usage was too high. I then uplifted my contract to 5 GIGS and I still had to pay additional amounts. In asking why they told me I visited sites that billed them and I had to pay for it. I then told them that in future I will not pay for that and increased my monthly data to 10 gigs. At that stage the factory I am consulting for moved to Brakpan where I virtually had no reception. After numerous complaints they installed a router which didn't help much ans the reception was still intermittent and very slow. They then said they are waiting for a site plan ti install another tower which will ensure quality reception. I n October 2016 I received an account for R 18 000 and I realised that the stopping and starting while trying to upgrade to windows 10 caused that. I couldn't install it with the service I got from Vodacom. They cancelled my contract, which was strange because they never do that unless you pay for it. I then bought a WiFi router from Cell C and 100 GIGS for R 1000. The 100 GIGS has now after a year expired and I calculated my average monthly usage as 4.3 GIGS. I cannot belief that a well known company rated as the largest in SA can be so "*****" to charge for poor service while they were unable to provide for the service I was paying for.
