It happens after midnight....

It's just after midnight, and an SMS pings on my phone. I panic and I think, "It must be my Mom, she's fallen or something - an emergency! What else could it be but an emergency at this time of night!!?" I blearily look at my phone's screen: It's Vodacom, just to kindly let me know my data bundle is about to run out - in 4 days. Same thing next night, and the next. I write a review on Hellopeter to inform Vodacom that I need my sleep so I can concentrate on my job the next day, and can they please send these during waking hours? No, they say, because these SMSs are sent out randomly. I ask why their clever technicians can't unrandomise them and send them during waking hours? I'm told that's not possible. So here I am, feeling totally foolish that I could even have dreamed that such a large, intelligent and efficiently staffed organisation like Vodacom could control at what time their kind SMSs are sent. So I apologise for my ignorance, and thank you Vodacom.
