Issued sim card but no record of such number

<p>We have taken out a HP laptop and modem contract a month ago. Reported on 4 December 2016 that the modem and sim won't work and keep getting error Move to an area where there is signal or somet;hing like that. After various calls to 082111 got told that the number on which sim is registered belongs to someone else. More calls - and a trip to the nearest Vodacom - still no joy. Last person was Sophia at Matlosana Mall who said she will investigate the matter and get back to me. That was 2 days ago. Huge confusion and 10 different versions. Truly dissapointed in your lack of service as well as operators who are unable to solve the matter to satisfaction. Regret this transaction now and would like some advise on the cancellation thereof as nobody is able to trace the number or the IMEI on the sim card. </p>
