Issue with E-Sim on Iphone 14

Please help,

I have contacted both customer care and twitter support with no help.

i purchased a new Iphone 14 that has no sim card tray. I activated the e-sim. I can make and receive phone calls, but I cannot receive or send sms.

Nobody seems to want to help. The last article I was sent on twitter was for a watch issue,

Please can somebody who understands this help with this issue.
