IS VODACOM BROADBAND FIBRE A **** OR WHAT?
In March 2022 I placed and order for the Vodacom Fibre Broadband Uncapped service on the Vuma Reach network and paid for the 28 days prepaid voucher. I received welcoming messages from Vodacom and from Vumatel giving me my Wifi Username (SW-1***) and all seemed legit and on track. I have been waiting for installation and delivery of the router till now in May. I have made several calls to Vodacom and spoke to many agents like Kwena, Siyanda, Stevo and more with NO help. I have been to Vodashop and they also CANNOT help me. I have called Vumatel numerous of time asking why they are not installing at my house but all Vumatel agents I spoke to told mat my ISP Vodacom should issue an installation ticket to them so that they can come and install. When I ask for the ticket number from Vodacom they tell me that they can only email to Vuma Reach the instruction and Vumatel should be the one issuing the tickect to install. I asked about why till now in May Vodacom has not sent me the router, they told me that my router is still at their warehouse since I placed the order in March it has been waiting at their warehouse. When I asked if I can go to their warehouse and pick it up since I have already paid them, they tell me that their warehouse is in Cape Town and I am in Joburg. RAMS the courier company will deliver it to me, I must just wait. Two months now I am still waiting.
Last month on the 18 April I called Vumatel and asked them to check my order as I was worried that my voucher would expire without me using the service. For sure, I was right. The Vumatel agent checked and told me that my voucher is expireing in 8 days and my service will be disconnected from the Vuma Reach network if not renewed. I asked how can I renew while I DO NOT HAVE installation. The agent advised me to contact my ISP Vodacom and ask them to cancel my order since I do not have installation and create an new service request to avoid my paid voucher from expiring. I did that and on the 19 April the Vodacom agent Kwena created a new service request for me (SR***). I still do not have installation and I'm afraid this month too this new service request will expire at the Vuma Reach network next week. 1. I DO NOT HAVE ANY ROUTER FROM VODACOM - still waiting for RAM COURRIERS since March. 2. I HAVE NO INSTALLATION FROM VUMA REACH NETWORK - they are waiting for a VR number or a ticket number from my ISP Vodacom Fibre.
HAVE I BEEN ****MED BY VODACOM BROADBAND FIBRE?
I acknowledge your response and will be waiting for your consultant to come back to me.
I have been a Vodacom happy for the past 30yrs and that is why I chose this product through them but with this recent treatment I am truly disappointed.

Today I was on the line with Vuma Reach and they tell me that on their system my service shows that it has been activated and a router was delivered and installation completed. I do not know which address they did all that because I am the owner of that stand and I reside there so how can I not see cables from the poles at my street to my place and a router at my house?
Who is using the money I paid to Vodacom on the 30th March 2022 requesting Fibre installation? Can it be that a certain Vodacom agent works with a certain Vuma Reach installer to **** us the paying Vodacom customers by installing at their friends house?
These are the questions I have asked Vuma Reach as well and I do not have answers but just implications showing me that I am a victim of a Vodacom/Vumatel **** of some sort.
Right now I am not able to request for fibre from the other ISP's in my area like MWEB, Webafrica and Supersonic whom I tried to order from and they informed me that they cannot take my order for my address since it shows that Vodacom has already installed and it is activated. I was willing to lose what I have already paid to Vodacom for this prepaid as I have been ****med and move on to get it somewhere else but I cannot due to this.
A very unhappy and disappointed Vodacom customer😓😓😓,

Then seven days later on the 24 May, I paid again for the new order and through the assistance of Bulelani Tiya of Vodacom (from Cape Town) and Tshepiso of Vumatel I finally got my installation on the next day the 25 May 2022. My Vumatel/Vodacom Fibre is finally installed and working after two months of struggle to get it. On the other side, my request for refund of the initial payment is still in progress and my case is handled by Kurt Wilson from Vodacom and he is constantly updating me on the process.
A BIG thank you to Bulelani Tiya who at the end addressed my matter to my satisfaction within one day after listening to my query.
