Irreparable device bought within 3 months due to supplier not having parts

Hi, i bought an ALCATEL TABLET valued at R1000 for my daughter from Makro Amanzimtoti which is Vodacom locked on 2022-07-29 . Before 2022-10-30 the device was not charging or switching on, i took it back to Makro where they took it in for repairs, a few days later i got a notification that its received for assessment by Makro. On 2022-11-15 i received a call from Umlanga vodacom repair center informing me that i have to pay R852 to get a new device because the old one is irreparable because they do not have parts but when i bought the device i was NEVER informed that the device lifespan is 3months. The lady by the name of Trista told me its not vodacom's fault that i was never informed that if i encountered any problems with the device within i will have to buy a new device because it cannot be repaired whereas it is vodacom locked and advertised by their employees at Makro as a best device for kids. The damage on the device is a factory fault which i have no dealings with. And she made it very clear that its my problem not theirs and i should not take my frustration out on her.
