iPhone XR eSim activation on the Vodacom network
I have an iPhone XR and am trying to find out whether it's possible, through Vodacom, to active the eSim in the phone. Vodacom Customer Care says yes, but it needs to be done at a Vodacom Store. Every single Vodacom store I have contacted tells me they cant'. Some tell me that others stores can, but they can't. Others tell me that none of the stores would be able to do it.
Can someone from Vodacom PLEASE clear up this discrepancy in the information I'm getting. What I want to know is: 1. Is it possible to activate an eSim through Vodacom on an iPhone XR. 2. If so, at which Vodacom store(s) can this be done.

I have in the meantime received information from Vodacom to send an email to *** for more information about eSIMs. But emails to that address bounces.
I bought the iPhone XR specifically because I was told by Vodacom that the eSIM in the phone can be activated. Perhaps it's time to return the phone.
