iPhone 12 Pro delivery

App**** for a new contract (Second Line) on the 11th Jan and was approved, they told me the Phone (Iphone 12 Pro max) would be ordered and should arrive within a few days (mid month 15th). Phoned on the 15th and they said they haven't received any stock and can not tell me when it is going to arrive.

I got hold of the warehouse (Vodacom) and they told me the stock arrived on the 15th at the warehouse.

Vodacom Store is now telling me the stock "might" arrive at the end of the month.

My question is, Why does Vodacom Advertise a Device that they do not have? How is it that most of the other service providers have stock except the "Market Leader" in South Africa?

I had the same issue when upgrading my existing contract end of last year. The Launch date kept getting moved on and i ended up waiting 2 months for my phone.

I cant understand that a company like Vodacom does not have systems in place to track orders and delivery of stock.

It is truly a pathetic state of affaires and I'm sure that iPhone is loosing serious market share as a result of Vodacom's inability to provide any concrete feedback.

And Now the Delivery date for the iPhone has once again been moved out by another month. The Service from Vodacom is completely Pathetic.

If you don't have have stock then don't advertise it. Surely its a breach of The South African Consumer Protection Act, No 68 of 2008.

If you advertise a product then surly you need to be able to provide that product. Not in the case of Vodacom, they might as well advertise the Iphone 15 and then when it gets ordered they can keep you on the line till it is made.
