Intentionally Misleading Customers
I received a phone call from Bianca from Vodacom migration department on 03/09/2015 (10:47 am) as well as 04/09/2015 (9:02 am) stating that she can help me SAVE on my current contract. She started off stating that i Pay to much, and pay between X and Y amount a month on my cellphone contract and that the reason for that is because i exceed my monthly limits on data and Calls. She offered me a package with more minutes and data with a price tag in between X and Y (which sound good and sounds like she would indeed be saving me money). Taking a closer look at my account and what i pay monthly, the XY amount she stated i pay every month included handset fees etc (her price did not). If you have a look at my billing section i pay on avg on my contract subscription fee plus R50. What she suggested was an increase of my current contract subscription fee plus R210. Asking her these questions and why she would recommend this, as it is clearly not a saving, she just put the phone down. This is unacceptable from Vodacom, trying to mislead their customers like this. I can only imagine how many people they caught like this stating they will SAVE them money, costing them more in the end
