insurance not good

I sent my wife to do a claim on a Microsoft lumia 640 at first I was told the phone was not insured for the value and I know I filled a form after the screen broke and faxed it so lucky I kept the proof . After requesting these claim as my phone got ****** on 22 December 2015 I processed a claim and we got a claim passed and the replacement phone was a Samsung J1ace which is valued at R 1400 and the ****** phone was R3500 so I feel *****ed
