Insurance ***** or Ineptitude?

My Hauwei P9 Lite, which is insured with Vodacom Insurance, was ****** on Jan 15th and I still do not have a replacement.

Firstly, my claim was denied, because for some reason unknown to me, or any of the many Vodacom representatives I have dealt with, my insurance was incorrectly logged as laptop insurance. No one could tell me the value, make or model of this mystery laptop. It was simply logged as "laptop insurance". No one could (or would) explain to me how this had happened.

Strange how an insurance company can insure something they know nothing about; an item that dooesn't exist. No one bothered investigating what was obviously a mistake (or perhaps insurance *****). Just denied.

After many frustrating trips to Vodacom Fourways Mall and Vodacom 4U Fourways (where I bought the phone), as well as many calls to Vodacom Insurance, the error was rectified.

After that, my claim was delayed (and about to be denied again) because the dates were mixed up. I had to call to find this out. Eventually the claim was accepted on Jan 20th but there has been no sock of the Huawei P9 Lite since then.

Since then, I have been mislead regarding the availability of the phone. First it was a few days, then the end of the week, then the end of the next week. Now I'm left with "should be this month".

Is there no P9 Lite in stock in any Vodacom store around the country that can be delivered to me?

Am I meant to be satisfied with the service I've received from Vodacom Insurance?

Would this happen with MTN or Cell C?

Will Vodacom do anything to make up for the ********** service, and massive inconvenience I've faced so far?
