Insurance claim

I went to the vodacom in Canal walk and asked about getting my screen repaired with my one free screen repair. the lady had no clue what she was doing and couldn't even find me as a customer on the system (i have two contracts and have been a customer for years) she then found me, took my phone and said there would be no charge. i got a message to confirm fixing my phone and rep**** yes as i was told it is fine as i am insured. i then got a call to collect my phone and on arrival they said i owe R2500. i explained what had happened and the manager said i needed to fill out an insurance form which the lady should have done with me before my phone was even sent in. i filled it out and they have now told me i somehow no longer have insurance, that however shouldn't matter because i spoke to an opperator when there was a mess up with my insurance and she said i would still have one free screen repair. they now say i have to pay the R2500 which i refuse to do as i feel that if the lady i delt with at the begining knew what she was doing and told me i was not insured and that the cost was R2500 i would never have sent my phone in. now i sit without a phone for over four weeks and can't get it back all because your employes have no idea what they are doing. i refuse to pay as i was told there would be no charge. in these four weeks i have phoned countless times and no one can help me, they just pass me around. i have had many problems with vodacom so all i want now is my phone back as the way i sent it in and to cancel my contract
