*********** insurance agents at Vodacom Insurance
We took a double deal on the samsung a56 which was an upgrade to an already existing contract as well as a new contract on an iphone 13. We had initially wanted the s24FEs but were told they were out of stock.
The consultant at Vodacom Loch Logan,Sandy was very helpful and assisted us professionally however the issue started with the insurance department.
Due to the iphone13 being used by my son we decided it wouod be best for him to use his normal sim card which is with another network provider on his phone, Sandy and the team told us it was possible and this was also confirmed by another colleague at Vodacom Mimosa Mall however when the insurance agent called he told us they were not able to cover the iphone if it was using another number and my son had to use a vodacom sim card.
We reluctantly agreed and took out the insurance and I had to go buy a new sim card and put it. When I checked online I realised that we were in actual fact able to cover the phone while it was using another network sim.
Another issue we have with Vodacom Insure is that no email with documents confirming the telephone agreements have been sent to us and it is like the telephone never called. I wouldve assumed papers confirming which devices have been insured would be sent to us.
The agent also stated that we would only start paying for the insurance in September however by the 30th of August we had to pay an amount to be covered for the few days in August so we could be covered.
Another issue we have at Vodacom is that the account shows that we are in arrears of R4000+ however we have not missed any payments. Why is this so?
We received a call from the insurance department claiming that we had insured two iphones and an a56 whereas in reality we actually insured one iphone 13 and two Samsung a56.
What the hell is going on at Vodacom???
