Instruction not followed

I contacted the cancellations department on the 29th March 2016 to cancel my contract which was due to expire on the 30th April 2016. I also requested my number be made available to port. After speaking to Nkululeko (Ref no 105840) I was assured the contract would be cancelled and the number changed to pre-paid in order for it to be available for porting. I still queried this as I was not fami**** with the method of porting.

I have now called the cancellations department again (as my contract seems to be ongoing) and spoke to Bhekimelo (not sure of the spelling), who advised that the contract was only changed to month-to-month. As a result my contract has not been cancelled. I also don't believe I should be held responsible for any costs (as I bought data bundles knowing that I would be on pre-paid) which may have occurred after the 30th April 2016.

Furthermore, I've been advised that I will now only be contacted by Friday for further instruction/details regarding the cancellation of my contract. Despite the fact that this was not my error, I am now expected to wait another week before this problem is resolved.

Quite unacceptable.
