innaccurate information

I just took my phone to a Vodacom repairs Shop in Pretoria for repairs, as the screen had a dark shade on it without any cracks on the screen. I was told by the consultant that my phone would be fixed under warranty and that I wont have to pay anything for the phone to get repaired. An sms got sent to me confirming that my phone was booked for repairs and that I should have it back in 2-3 days. A receipt was printed and given to me, a couple of minutes later I get an sms saying I need to pay R2 718.28. When I called them back seeking clarity am told I have to pay that amount for my phone to get fixed. This is really confusing and annoying, because I am being told different stories.
