Inferior phone - Substantial contract

As I had to swop from MTN to Vodacom through necessity, I took printouts of the last 6 months' data usage and phone usage so they could give me an equivalent contract (around R1000 pm). I waited for approval and got called with 'your R250 top up is ready'. In hindsight I realise that the phone I picked was in correlation with the incorrect contract. I remedied the contract situation and explained that I run a business and could not be cut off when my R250 ran out and wanted an open contract. Unbeknownst to me, I was now issued a R250 phone for a R1K pm contract. (Samsung J5), which has virtually no internal memory, keeps cutting out etc. I went to the Somerset Mall shop where the manager acknowledged that I was given a phone from the incorrect range (I can usually pick whichever one I want and could not understand why this was possible). The manager just shrugged and said yeah that's too bad. I am horrified because of what I pay monthly!! Nobody is prepared to do a thing about it - I am shocked!! So I am stuck with a cheapy cutting out phone for the next year odd still.
