Inept service, false marketing and failure to deliver.

I renewed my contract at the beginning of February this year, this was done very the phone. My new phone was received two days later. It is a Sony. In the box was a Sony charger and a soiled packet of USB data cables and headphones. That's problem number one.

Part of the upgrade included 10gig of free, once off data. The new contract kicked in 1st of March. I have placed roughly 16 calls explaining the same thing over and over only to be put through to another department or get cut off. Although been given reference numbers and reciting them to the people on the other end of the line I have had no luck. So here I am with a probably 2nd hand unit repackaged for the pleb consumer that I am and an unfulfilled contract package.

Interesting. Six days later I'm working during what "due course" means.

I have in the meantime continued calling and have found out what the problem is. Yet it is still not sorted.

I seriously do not know what to say about this company. I am still sitting with a soiled package of data cables that do not belong to this product and the data has not yet been reconciled.

The frustration of sitting hours on the phone over multiple calls and one operator after another is not the kind of thing that makes you feel like a valued customer spending over R 200 000 in the last five years.

The thing is I'm sure I'm not the only one who has received this level of poor service, so what do we do as customers to stand up against it.

Perhaps the media will give advice.
