Incorrect product sold

Vodacom, I’m honestly beyond frustrated.

Over a month ago, I requested cancellation of a contract that was sold to me incorrectly. I haven’t used the product (a router), I want to return it, and I made it clear I do not want to be billed for something I didn’t ask for and haven’t used.

Since then — no cancellation confirmation, no pickup of the router, and no actual resolution. Just empty promises and silence.

If that debit order goes off today, I swear I’m going to escalate this everywhere I can: Hello Peter, the Consumer Ombudsman, social media, radio — you name it. Because at this point, it’s starting to feel like intentional billing *****.

Get your act together and cancel this contract IMMEDIATELY. Someone needs to take accountability.

I honestly cannot believe I am still fighting with Vodacom about this.

First, Vodacom sold me a product that I did not agree to. I immediately asked for the contract to be cancelled, and for more than a month they delayed, ignored me, and failed to give any confirmation. On top of that, they continued billing me during this period.

Eventually, they came to collect the router — which I never used — but now, after all this time, I have still not been refunded or credited for the incorrect billing. Vodacom owes me R198, which was debited from my account for that bundle and router that I never wanted in the first place.

It is unacceptable that after weeks of frustration, wasted time, and broken promises, Vodacom cannot resolve something as simple as reversing an incorrect debit.

Vodacom, you need to process my refund immediately. Enough is enough.
