Samsung suggested firmware upgrade to the latest Kitkat 4.4.4 version on Note 2 (my phone was fully charged). Upgrade was successful (made calls, emails etc after update). 2 hours later got stuck lock screen mode. I did back-up & master reset. After master reset got stuck in start up Samsung logo. At Vodacom still stuck in start-up logo they did a master reset and also said that they will install software. I obliged. Returned phone with scrambled screen"ed for main board. Referred me to Samsung Care Centre. Smsng technician confirmed main board replacement, but questioned how Vodacom technician caused it to end up with scrambled screen from the initial boot loop screen. On return to Vodacom I requested to speak to technician who showed me what software he tried to install (Jelly Bean - older version). He confessed not latest software& no access to it. Then Service Manager explained they could not take responsibility for main board failure, denied they tried to install software. Said the phone had a pre-existing problem. Vodacom changed the software problem into a hardware problem in their care. I request Vodacom take responsibility for flashing wrong software to phone&breaking
