Incorrect deductions not refunded.
1. My Vodacom contract expired at the end of July 2017. 2. I phoned Vodacom on 1 August 2017 to request that my contract to be cancelled and to port my number to my new service provider (I have the reference number for this call). I was informed that my final invoice and payment would be at the end of August 2017. 3. I was however also invoiced and the monies deducted from my account in September (R348.27) and October 2017 (R341.49). 4. On 13 October 2017 I phoned to query why I was invoiced and monies deducted from my account for September and October. This is not an easy thing to do when your number is no longer a Vodacom number and you have to try and get through to the correct department using voice prompts. Having been on the phone for approximately 30 minutes, and having spoken to various people, I was finally informed that there had been an error on the system when I requested my contract to be cancelled in August. A call had been logged with the 'back office' to rectify the situation. I was also informed that the monies deducted for September and October would be refunded to my account in the next 7 to 14 working days (I also have the reference number for this call) 5. On 13 March 2018 I have still not been refunded the monies that were deducted from my account for September and October 2017. I once again phoned the call centre (another 30 minute ordeal), spoke to various people before being informed that my contract was only cancelled in October and I was therefore invoiced in September and October. The call centre informed me that because the system says that my contract was only cancelled in October there is nothing more they can do. I requested the number of a supervisor but was informed that I would have to phone another call centre to speak to the relevant supervisor.
This is unacceptable, Vodacom owes me R689.76, which they incorrectly deducted from my account in September and October 2017. I should not have to explain my situation over and over again to various call centre operators who are unable to fix the situation. Can someone please help to sort this out.
