I have a debit order loaded for the 21st. My debit order did not run on the 21st of September as agreed. I called customer care on the 24th and was advised there was a problem and my debit order would only go off on the 29th (which is ridiculous). I requested banking details and transferred the money. Vodacom then decides to debit my account on the 25th, the debit order bounced as I had already transferred the money. I get charged R90 by my bank for the returned debit order (which I am not even going to bother trying to recover from Vodacom as it would be a waste of my precious time). Now Vodacom has decided to charge R100 for the returned debit order AND are showing my account as being in arrears by R100. This is really reflecting negatively on my name. Vodacom did honour our agreement of a debit order on the 21st, I decided to be proactive and rather make payments myself and now I am being punished for that. I guess Vodacom expected me to sit on my behind and just wait for them to debit me whenever they feel like it. I have called the contact centre repeatedly for the past week and half and each time I am told it is being escalated, when I call back I have to start all over again
Best regards,
