Incorrect Debit Amount

I have been a Vodacom client for about 20 years. I was notified by Vodacom beginning this year that I am due for an upgrade. I upgraded online, someone phoned me and the deal was accepted by me for a 24 month contract at R1579. I have the email confirmation that it was R1579. I got an sms stating that my contract would be R2088. I spoke to Vodacom about this and the lady said it is a system problem and I should reply and accept the sms. She assured me my premium would be R1579. But that hasn't been so as my debits have been R2088. I phone Vodacom and felt like a tennis ball as I was passed between the upgrade department and customer care. Vodacom told me that because I upgraded early I still pay my old contract fees. But Vodacom approached/notified me that I am due for upgrade. This is the first I have ever heard of that or experienced an extra charge, as Vodacom always approached me and has never charged that before for any of my other upgrades. Also this was never explained to me at upgrade, that is if this is actually the case. As they told me that my contract should return to normal on my renewal date. But here we are 3 months later and I am still being charged R2088.

I have never had problems with Vodacom hence my long happy years with them, but this has been very disappointing and request that you listen to the phone recordings regarding my upgrade and that I be refunded the difference of my actual contract and the R2088 for which I was charged over the last few months.

Thank you Bjorn
