I Have just found out that I have been debited R7 per DAY since April on my Vodacom account by a company called Go4Star (Mobistar). That's almost R1200 so far. Never heard of this company and am extremely careful about responding to spam SMS'. On further research it seems this company is a mass marketing SMS company. Naturally there are no contact numbers on their website. How can it be legal for Vodacom to debit my account in favour of a third party without my permission? I've also heard that Vodacom has a double opt in system in place for these type of debits which never happened! AND why is Vodacom not screening these companies to make sure they are a legal business before debiting us on their behalf? I have 3 Vodacom contracts which I will be cancelling as soon as I can because of this. I also want a refund from Vodacom - they took money from me *******ly.
