Incorrect Billing - No Intention of Resolution

My billing for October was grossly inaccurate, almost double what I am usually debitted. When I picked this up, same day the debit order went off on the Saturday, I contacted Vodacom to try and resolve this.

I was informed that it would be investigated and a reference number was sent to me. The reference with the sms also said that some information was required from me.

A week went by without a word from Vodacom, I called to find out what information is required from me so that I could provide it. After numerous transfers from one department to another, the consultant told me that nothing is required from me, but the query is in progress. I asked what in progress means and why I had not been updated, but she couldn't give me answers. I asked her to please refer me to someone who could give me some answers. This was on a Wednesday afternoon, 01/11/2017. She said she couldn't do that and that she would try to find out and call me on Friday as she was off on Thursday. I asked her why she can't get one of her colleagues to call me on Thursday and she said that that's not how they work. Her team is off on Thursday and she can't ask someone from a different team to follow up for her and give me feedback and I must wait for her to come back to work and she will give me feedback. I asked if she died on Thursday, who would then give me feedback on Friday because she wouldn't be back at work either way, as usual she had no answer for me. Told me she'd call me on Tuesday to give me feedback. Tuesday (07/11/2017) came and went and I still had no feedback from her, so I assume she did die.

On Thursday afternoon, 09/11/2017, I call AGAIN to find out what's happening and get the same waste of time from a number of consultants and a team lead/manager who claimed that she would follow up and give me feedback on Friday. The consultant who put me through to the team leader/manager told me that my inquiry shows that it will be resolved on 27/12/2017 on her system. Imagine telling a client that you've just ****** that she has to wait OVER 2 months for her query to be investigated AND a POSSIBLE refund to be initiated!!!! WOW!! This company really has a nerve. BUT THEN AGAIN, Friday came and went without anyone bothering to contact me and give me any kind of feedback.

First of all, Vodacom and I have a contract in place. This contract stipulates how much is to be paid on a monthly basis. When you don't follow this, you're in breech of contract. How this went wrong this time around baffles me and I want an explanation about this. Had I defaulted on this amount even by R1.00, Vodacom would be rushing faster than the speed of light to make sure this reflects on my credit record. But this breech of contract is your side, I want to cancel this relationship because of this breech.

Second of all, due to this massive "mistake", my other debit orders bounced. This means I incurred unnecessary bank charges because of Vodaom. My other obligations could not be met and this is going to affect my credit record. I'm not sure how I can claim damages for this, but I will be taking this further because this has a big impact on me financially. I will not have a *****ed credit record because Vodacom failed to do their part.

And lastly, the tortoise pace at which this is "being resolved" is appalling. *********** consultants who cannot provide feedback is disgusting. Disrespect for your clients by the brand and staff continues to shock me. This disrespect to clients who pay without fail is even worse.

I want my money BACK.
