Inconsistent Service and Advice

Vodacom Mall of Africa is a prime example of what pathetic service delivery is. On the 28th of April 2021 i walking into this store and asked for a screen protector, i was quickly helped and advised that Protection Pro by Madico is the best product on the market, at a R299 the can put it on, i asked them to do it and paid, i was told that i must not put my cover back on my phone for 2 - 3 days to make sure it adheres properly and does not peel. i did this, about 4 months or so later i began to peel and get worse and worse. On the 27/09/2021 i go into the store, tell the guy at the entrance my problem and says its been less than 6 months, he look at the phone and shows me his and says its been over a year but it looks like it may have been app**** incorrectly, said sure, they need a receipt, to be honest i dont really keep receipts and rarely take them (i prefer paperless due to environment) , i general pay by card so its easier to keep a paper trail. He tells me to wait (5-10 minutes) calls a "manager" , i show my phone with the SMS from the bank reflecting when i purchased this, she says no problem im just going to check the system, 15 - 20 minutes later comes back, says her system doesnt let her go back to check in April. She calls her "manager", now the new lady raises her voice and says you only do a 3 month warranty an the guys for the screen protectors not there (this was neither advised to me nor shown anywhere in the shop in regard to this product or any other for that matter), so they wont cover it. in frustration i leave the store saying i need to leave this network. A min or so later i walk back in saying i want to just confirm what product this is so i can write a review, manager #2 starts raising her voice that i don't have a receipt, wow very service driven and environmentally proactive. Suffice to say, good luck on your paperless journey, please teach your staff that they must sing from the same hymn book from the start, not change stories 20 or 30 minutes after, as they don't want to look for something and waste a customers time. I subsequently walked into MTN, ported my number, my wifes number. and changed the screen protectors etc. Both service delivery and product 10x better. I finally understand why MTN is slowly but surely taking the market share.
