*********** Vodacom customer service

I have contacted Vodacom 3 times to try to rectify an overcharge issue.

I have phoned once and I have emailed twice. It is well over 6 weeks since I first phoned to complain and nothing has been resolved!

Thank goodness my contract comes up for renewal in several months time, it makes my decision easy. I will be looking around for another service provider.

I received a promotional sms for a 120 minutes of airtime for the day if I uploaded R12 airtime. Which I duly did on the 2 Jan. I made 3 phonecalls that day. When I checked my balance the next day I was surprised to discover the 3 calls that I had made the previous day had not come off my free airtime but had been debited to my monthly airtime. I phoned the careline on the 22 Jan, and after being made to wait on the call for well over 20 minutes the consultant finally said she couldn’t help me and a consultant would call back within 3 days. I’m still waiting for that call.

On the 14 Feb I sent an email again explaining the overcharge problem. The only response I received was an sms regarding a second issue I raised regarding not being able to log a “call me back” on the Vodacom web portal.

On the 15 March I sent another email forwarding my original complaint. I have now received an email from the e-service team saying my complaint has been responded to, that Vodacom sent an sms in Feb regarding the web portal. How stupid do you have to be to realise that you have only responded to half of my complaint and not even the most important part of the complaint!

What started off as a minor issue over a paltry R34 has grown into huge frustration over Vodacom’s gross incompetence and complete lack of customer service.

Karen
