*********** *******

I called Vodacom Insurance department on September 14th, at exactly 13H49 and was on that call for 8 mins and 38 secs.

I asked that the insurance linked to another device of mine be cancelled.

After a long hold, the agent came back to me and informed me that the cancellation request has been submitted.

However, a day shy of a month later, October 13th, I receive an email with my monthly statement and invoice for both devices and to my surprise I see the charges for the Insurance I had cancelled.

On October 23rd, I reach out to Vodacom via their Social Media platform regarding this and the person asks me to send a screenshot of my latest statement or invoice. As if they cannot actually do the work and log onto the relevant systems and check.

Anyway, I went ahead and sent the requested screenshot and got a response the following day, October 24th asking once again, questions which if they had actually put in effort, done the work, could easily have checked and seemed eager to assist but NAH!

So I am asked "How did you cancel the insurance?", to which I responded "I called." - I also provided the number the insurance is associated with, the date, time and what was said on the call (I could type out word for word because luckily, my phone has an app that records all my phone calls).

Then the follow up question is whether I received a confirmation email or text... Again, not my problem. If a confirmation was supposed to have been sent (which the agent said would be sent) and I never received it, that's your problem. Because I did what I had to do. Your agent and/or your system failed to do the necessary.

Then I'm told via Social Media that it's been escalated to Finrite and that I would receive a credit for October.

However, later that day I received a call and I'm told that I will not receive any refund because "the system reactivated the insurance". Upon asking "HOW IS THAT MY PROBLEM?", this agent tells me I'm being rude.

It is not a lot of money, but it's about the principle. It's about following through and actually delivering results and most importantly, it is my money... I struggled to get through to you, was placed on hold, had to listen to that awful music while waiting on an agent to answer...

And no I do not want to be called because you keep calling me and disturbing me at work.

Send me an email on *** with the resolution, telling me you resolved the matter.

I'm don't talking to you at this point - I might really end up being rude as your agent called me.
