My father died on 15 February this year. After 2 weeks first his wife and then myself went to different Vodacom outlets where we notified them that my father passed away. We were asked for all the necessary information and copies of his ID and Death Certificate. They will send it through to the accounts department we dont have to worry about anything! !! On 26 November we received an sms stating that my fathers Vpdacom account was in arrears and was now handed over to VVM Debt Collectors, the legal department of Vodacom. I phoned them on 27 November at 08:00 just as they opened at the number that was given. I spoke to a man and explained the whole situation and what we did. He then asked me to sent my father's ID and Death Certificate through to them and gave me the email address. I did that asap and received a email in response stating that it was an autimated respons on confirming my email. After about a week the harassment started!! Every day I'm being called up to 5 different people from the VVM Department. Every one not knowing what the other said or discussed with me! Really!!! Can't they make a simple note on their systems! And yet again the saga continues.
