*********** STAFF

I got a call from Vodacom wrt my existing data contract and that it was up for renewal, after I advised that I wasn't going to upgrade the sales person said that I should see the product and if im not interested that I could return it within 7 days. I discovered when I received the device that it was infact a new contract and not an "upgrade" as stated on the phone. I called in and cancelled the "new" contract and the day before they collected their device they debited my account! From the 14 September 2017 I have called Vodacom numerous times and spoken to numerous people and each and everytime they told me they have received my cancellation and that my account was credited, i advised that i didn't want my existing contract to be credited but that i needed my money refunded. Since then i had to wait 7 to 14 working days for this "refund". They confirmed my bank details twice or thrice {bearing in mind i had to do no confirming of bank details with the "new" contract they sent me as i was told they have all my details already} I then waited a few more days for my existing contract debit to go off which it did and today 03/10/2017 i called them again as i still have not received my refund and they did not credit my account as i had a payment gone off on the 02/10/2017. After being on the phone for about 10 minutes the lady says she needs to put me through to the department that deals with the accounts, after being put through i had to again explain my whole story {as they cannot transfer you to the person you spoke to last} and this person then tells me they need proof from me that Vodacom did infact debit my account! I have never ever come across such stupidity from such a big company! Working in accounts department myself i am beyond shocked by their lack of professionalism when dealing with customers and especially if they are at fault! I cannot wait for my existing contract to finish and to never do business with Vodacom again.
