*********** or just uncaring?

A month ago I complained through HelloPeter that Vodacom was ignoring all communications from me to try and get them to address a complaint I have. An additional gripe was that their only form of communication with me was an automated e-mail response to my mails. Telephone calls to Vodacom CEO's Personal Assistant received assurances that my complaint would be addressed but nothing transpired and she later refused to take my calls or reply to my e-mails. Even my complaint via HelloPeter received only an automated response from Vodacom with no action.

In desperation I withheld payment of my monthly premium on my disputed cellphone (I have 4 cellphones on my account with the remaining 3 premiums still being paid). Well 11 e-mails and automated receipt replies later, still with no action or even an enquiry as to my complaint, Vodacom have now threatened to hand me over for legal action and collection. In addition they are to Black List me with the Credit Bureau.......... all this with still no response from them regarding my complaint. Oh, and by the way, they notified me by means of an Automated Computer Generated e-mail which also stated that one could not reply to it. Vodacom have also threatened that all 4 of my cellphones are to be blocked (not just the one in dispute) and all the handsets disabled so that they will not work on any network.

Such heavy handed, arrogant action when all it would take to have this matter cleared and withheld premiums paid, would be TO JUST ADDRESS MY COMPLAINT.

What are you scared of Vodacom? Have all your telephone self help facilities, and call centre operatives with no authority to deal with complaints, ****** your staff of their ability to interact with customers on a one on one basis?

And please stop with the greeting "Dear Valued Customer" on all your e-mail and voice activated automated cell calls and SMS's............ you find nothing valued in your customer base.
