***********, indifferent and uneducated

New line on existing business account ordered 29 Dec 2017 via email. I was instructed by Shaelene Maniram in Vodacom business sales to convert my Telkom contract phone to Telkom pre-paid before I could submit my port-in order to retain the number I have had since the lat 1990's. I did so immediately and submitted my official purchase order within an hour. Telkom were super efficient in changing the line.

Two weeks later I phoned ********** asking what had happened to my order as I had received no communication. Vodacom had no record of my application or purchase order. This was resolved very quickly, and I received my new device and sim card.

I tried to activate the sim card and port my number unsuccessfully. The SIM card is now activated with another number. The issue was reported via about 10 different call centre numbers and twice as many agents and I received a replacement SIM card that was now "registered to port-in" my old number.

I have now been on the phone in excess of 40 hours and still have not succeeded in porting in my old number.

Emails are not answered

The online offer of a "call-me back" is ignored despite their advertising their endeavour to call within 24 hours: http://help.vodacom.co.za/personal/contactus/

Many agents have conflicting fixes for the issue

Some say:

I need to Port-In to Vodacom prepaid before converting the number to contract Telkom will not release the number to port-in (Telkom tell me they have no hold on pre-paid numbers and there is no action required to release a pre-paid number) A port-in date of 17 February has been scheduled My replacement SIM card to fix the issue has never been registered It is not possible to fix this scenario as the whole port-in procedure has been done incorrectly It is possible to fix this but I need to call the port-in agents It has been escalated to the port-in agents but I can't speak to them there is only email communication. (Please send me the email address for the port-in help desk - not available to public)

I cannot gain access to: My workplace without my old number as it is registered with their security company for access control Friends cannot visit because my old number is registered with security to gain access at the gate

To use my old number I spend up to R50 day for airtime whilst being charged for a contract that Vodacom have not supp**** as ordered.

VODACOM YOU HAVE STRETCHED ME TO MY LIMIT OF PATIENCE. FIX THIS BEFORE 1000AM 8 FEBRUARY 2018 OR COLLECT YOUR EQUIPMENT AND CANCEL MY CONTRACT

Vodacom is absolutely pathetic - no response on Hello Peter for since your statement above "Dear Customer, Thank you for making us aware of your complaint. Kindly be advised that a consultant will make contact with you in due course to assist with your query. ***Please note*** Beware of phishing ****s. Vodacom will not contact you via Whatsapp to request your personal details Regards, Vodacom Consumer Website Team" no phone calls fromVodacom agents, no emails from Vodacom agents, no SMS from Vodacom advising me that my issue is being looked into, no communication from one of the world's communications giants. How can I trust Vodacom to handle my communications if they can't even communicate with their clients and people who pay their salaries. Vodacom is bunch of unprofessional thieving ****s who don't give a damn about anything but taking money and not delivering the service I ordered. You've obviously told me to take a hike as you don't want my company's business. I am instructing my bank to reverse the deduction for non-service delivery
