*********** idiots - no cellular network

I am disgusted at the incompetence at the Vodacom store in the Old Mutual building Pinelands. I've had a top up contract with vodacom for years, went on to Prepaid last year and then decided on 29 Nov to go back on to top up with vodacom but to keep my current vodacom number (keep in mind that i am paying for my husbands vodacom top up contract as well and have asked vodacom on numerous occasions to send all correspondence sms's to my number and not to my husbands).

I received my new Huawei phone on 29 Nov, informed them that i would like to keep my number and that i do not want a new number. Also reminded them that all correspondence sms's are still being sent to my husband and then gave the store attendant my number for future correspondence to be sent to me which he apparently updated on the system. I asked them to transfer all data from my old phone and was told to come back the next day which was ok but when i arrived at the store the next day, they were closed for stock taking (Store attendant did not mention any of this to me). I eventually ended up transferring the data myself as i needed the phone for the weekend.

On Saturday 1 Dec i noticed that i was not topped up for the month and my husband again received an sms from vodacom stating that my new Vodacom number has been activated when i clearly explained that i do not want a new number. On Tues, 4 Dec i went to vodacom to ask them where my airtime is and that my husband got an sms to say that the new number has been activated. They then told me that the airtime was topped up on the new number (which i did not ask for) and then they have a damn cheek to tell me that i did not mention that i want to keep my old number after the idiot at vodacom specifically took down the number that i asked to keep. They agreed to fix it and have the top up airtime sent to my number as requested but advised that i will only receive the airtime in around 10 days. I also AGAIN told them to change the correspondence sms's to my number (which they apparently did) as i am the owner of both contracts, only for my husband to receive these sms's once again today and yesterday...

What ****es me off even more is the fact that last night i had to make 2 urgent calls as i was stuck in a very bad situation. As i tried to dial the numbers, i received an error "Cellular network is not available, connect to a wireless network to make a call" I still cannot make calls via the network.

What the **** is up with that vodacom? Does your staff even know what they are doing? A simple request to keep my number cannot be actioned by *********** idiots in your store. A simple request to have correspondence sent to my number cannot be actioned by these same idiots and then my network gets cut with no warning????

Please fix what you started and remove *********** idiots from your stores who give your business a bad name.
