*********** grossly negligent vodacom as usual

On the 5th of November at 12:14 I phoned to upgrade my one of 3 contracts I spoke to a lady (can't remember her name) I asked her to which Huawei phone can I upgrade on my contract without paying too much extra on what I'm paying now, she then said I can basically Upgrade to anything on my current payment profile but to keep it as close as possible on what I'm paying, now she would suggest the Huawei Y7 Prime 2018. I then told her that I don't like the Y range as I had a bad experience with my previous Huawei Y range. I would like to have the P range, as I don't have any issues with my Huawei P10 Lite, she then went online and checked the phone (Huawei Y7 Prime) to compare it with the P10 lite and she told me that the memory and the RAM is on par with the P10 Lite and it has extra features that the p10 Lite doesn't have, I then told her if that's the case - she can proceed with the upgrade on the Y7 Prime 2018. She then came back to me and told me she is struggling to load the deal, and that she will come back to me within a hour, 3 Hours later I phoned Vodacom online again, I then spoke to a guy named Kagiso and he then proceeded to load the deal for me and helped me extremely well. He is really a good sales person, Today I received the phone and proceeded to set the phone up, after about 3 hours the phone was loaded and ready to be used and that is where the problems started. It then told me that the memory was low and I have to defrag my memory. Upon further inspection I saw that the phone has only 16 gig on board memory and not 32 gig as promised by the first sales lady, it also only has 2 gig ram not 3 gig as promised, I then phoned Vodacom online and I was transferred to another department as they did the sale, apparently spoke to that lady and she tried to transfer me to another company as apparently they did the sale not them and that's where the line got cut. So couple hours later I phoned Vodacom online again so the consultant transferred me to another company and that consultant then transferred me again to another company and they then transferred me to after sales (very professional) nobody knows what is going on, can't they just put you through to the right place the first time but no you have to speak to 10 people and every time you have to go through all the security questions and tell your whole story just to be transferred again, this is a ongoing thing with Vodacom of each and every department that just pass the blame, its always the next departments problem never ever the person you are busy talking to, so then this lady tells me they will have to come pick up the phone and then once they have the phone back then I have to re-apply for a new phone .... now my issues with this is as follows - I already used a big amount of data to setup this phone and already cleared everything of my old phone and now I have to put everything back on the old phone using the same amount of data again and then when I eventually get the new phone I have to use that data again. I feel this is not fair on me to be put through this hassle of using all this data due to vodacom's negligence and incompetence and lack of product knowledge. I asked why do I have to return the phone that was wrongly supp**** by vodacom and then have to wait 7 to 14 working days for them to fetch and receive it? they made the mistake not me .... I want a new phone supp**** to me with the capabilities as I requested and was promised to me. I don't want a Y range phone I want a P range phone because after I saw the problem with the Y range phone I went and checked there is P range phones With better capabilities and stronger processing power than my current P10 Lite and much stronger than the Y7 for a couple of rand more and even cheaper than the Y Range. So it just boils down again to sales staff not knowing their products not listening to their customers and not doing there jobs correctly. So gross negligence and incompetence is yet again in the order of the day at vodacom as usual. I want my new phone delivered when the y7 gets picked up and I want a P series or I will go on to social media and tell my story to the whole world. I'm a good paying loyal customer and I expect to be treated in such a way as I deserve to be treated that way. I didn't make this mistake and I refuse to pay for it in data and time and being inconvenienced by vodacom's negligence
