*********** cancelations dept
I have had a contract with Vodacom for the past few years. Last year August I decided to cancel the contract as I took out another contract. After numerous phone calls to get the contract cancelled, Vodacom kept billing me every month and did not cancel the contract. On the 27th of November 2020 at 15:48 I phoned again and the agent assured me that it will be cancelled this time, and said that the last payment will be taken on 7 January as it is a one month notice. Even though I felt that I already paid so many months unnecessarily whilst trying to get this cancelled, I conceded as I just wanted it done. But surprise, on the 7th of February another debit was made. At this point I was livid as I felt enough is enough so I returned the debit order with my bank and blocked any further debits from Vodacom on my bank account. Now I am being handed over for the payments from Feb until June. I refuse to pay another cent as I have paid more than I should have already due to their incompetency to just cancel the account.

After my last review Vodacom has done what they promised and credited the amount that were incorrectly charged and finally cancelled my account. Or so I thought, but to my astonishment I have just received invoices for July and August..... I honestly do not know what else to do. Is it really that difficult to cancel a contract??
