***********!!!!!!!

I have been nice up till now, and I cannot take it anymore. I have been having problems with VODACOM for about a month and a half now. My phone was unable to make or receive any calls, and after struggling to get hold of the call centre (calling from a different number as my phone is not working in that department) for about 4 days I finally got through. I told them that I had a problem with receiving calls and making them, but I can still receive sms's and data seems to be working, they then told me to switch off my device and put it back on again after half an hour and they will call me back to see if the problem has been solved (like I haven't tried doing that) but they never called back. So I called them again, after the problem still has not been solved. They then changed a few settings on their side and that still did not work, it only made it worse, as after that my phone was not working at all. They then said that it might take a bit to get through, so I have to wait, and they will call me back. Never called back, so I called them again. Then they came to the conclusion, that it must be the device itself and that there is no problem on their side, so they sent me to a Vodacom repair shop. I then went to the repair shop (Hatfield Plaza), and long story short, they said that they can't find any problems with the sim nor the device, so they then sent in a service request. The guy that helped me (won't mention any names) said that it takes about 4 hours max for the service request. I should also mention that about a week before all of this, the call centre called me regarding a Wi-Fi modem that I can get on contract for R199 per month but I have 14 days to test and decide if I want it, and they will deliver to my door. I said yes. Then back to the problem, to my surprise, the brand new Wi-Fi modem was not working as well, now every time I have called the call centre, I have brought this to their attention as well. As I was at the Vodacom shop, I wanted to sort that out as well, they did not know what was wrong, could not find a problem with the sim or the device??????? I then said that I can't test something and decide if I want it if it is not working in the first place. So I asked them to take it back, I am not interested in having it. They said that they will arrange pick up, because they can't take it, if they did not sell it to me. Pick up request was sent in and they sent me a SMS 5 May 2017 saying that collection for device has been arranged which will take 3-5 working days. It is now the 25th of May and they have still NOT collected the device that I am unable to even test, because it DOES NOT WORK! In the meantime, I have fixed my own problem with the phone not making or receiving calls. And I only did that by resetting the network settings!!!!! I feel that it should have been an easy fix had VODACOM just do that. But incompetence got the better of them. Now the problem I am having at the moment is they have added the Wi-Fi device (still not working, still not picked up) to my bill. I will not pay for something that I asked to be collected and does not work. So they blocked my phone, NOW I ASK YOU, AFTER ALL OF THIS, WHY SHOULD I PAY THEM AT ALL!!!!!

I now apparently need to pay them an amount of R1200 and something to keep my account active????

How is it possible for a phone contract of R288.49 and a Wi-Fi modem (that should not be on my account in the first place) of R199 to add up to the amount of R1200 and something.

I have called them about this as well, and they said that they see a device pick up was requested, but that is the amount due. I will never ever, in my life take any type of contract with VODACOM again, and I will tell everybody of my VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with them. I advise everyone, to stay away!

Best regards,
Once again my point is proven. Nobody has called me, and I don't know how long I have to wait to get this resolved. It has been 5 days since they responded to my review saying that a "consultant will make contact with me in due course". And still the Wi-Fi router has not been picked up, and I just received a message from Vodacom telling me that I have to pay them an amount of R1206, 15.
Why oh why are you wasting my time, if you can't even follow up on complaints!!!!!
