Incompetencies from Vodacom - struggling to convert my contract to prepaid
I called Vodacom on 5th of Jan to get a premature cancellation quotation. They emailed it to me, and I paid the R319 fee. I then emailed the signed quotation, ID and proof of payment to *** the same day and requested Vodacom to convert my number to prepaid. I was told that it takes 24-48 hours to do this. I called on Friday to follow up. They said I should speak with the Accounts department to confirm if they have received the R319, and they told me that they have received it. The consultant at the Cancellation Department told me to email the documents to ***. I did that. Till now my number has not been converted to prepaid. I called this morning (09/01/23), and they told me that I have to wait. I am tired of so many incompetencies I have experienced from Vodacom in the past few months. They cannot even meet the deadlines that they promised. I need this number to be converted to prepaid so that I can port it to FNB Connect. I am glad that I am in the process of canceling all my contracts and move them elsewhere. I have been a Vodacom customer since 2004, but with such incompetency from Vodacom, I have decided to move my business elsewhere. Where I will be appreciated.
