Incompetence or Don't Care - Haven't decided yet
Last week I got a message from Vodacom that I could upgrade. I indicated that I was interested. A consultant contacted me and we did the whole process telephonically. She told me that the phone I ordered was out of stock and would only be available from 22 April onward. No problem, I will wait. Yesterday, 13 April, I suddenly start getting messages from RAM couriers that the package will be delivered to the address I chose, i.e. my home address. I specifically left instructions that I need to be phoned before delivery takes place, because I am not always at home. This morning, 14 April, RAM couriers pitch up at my house, attempting delivery. No call beforehand. They then call my wife - why, I don't know. I get a call from their support centre to say I was not at home, no ID was given, so no delivery. I explain everything to them. They say they will call the driver to call me and make alternative arrangements. This did not happen. So I call them again 3 hours later. Now the package is back at the hub and no further deliveries until Tuesday. So, I instructed them to return the package to Vodacom. I will no longer deal with RAM couriers. They do not stick to what they say they will do. So can Vodacom please have someone call me to arrange for the package to go to a Vodacom dealer near me, and I will pick it up there. In the alternative, cancel the deal.
