Incompetence, lies and no accountability!

Vodacom suspended my line today and I have no idea how this could happen after I called one of their agents on 07.06.2016. I have a long history of an ongoing problem which began as far back as 06.02.2016 where i called to change my payment method from manual to debit order. i provided my current bank account details to the call centre agent who was attending to my request and she assured me that the new account details had been updated and that the debit order would go off on the 26th of every month effective from 26 February 2016. On 26 February the debit order did not go off and after a couple of days i received an sms telling me that my account was in arrears. when i called to find out what the issue was, i discovered that the banking details loaded for the debit order were old banking details which i used to use more than 3 years ago and these were not the details provided to the call centre agent on 06.02.2016. i disputed this and i was infuriated as this naturally impacts negatively on my credit record and score at ITC!! I had already called at the beginning of March advising that the banking details that were loaded by that agent for 26 Februsry were wrong and that i would continue to make manual payments for the month of March going forward as i was not going to repeat the banking details that i had given if nothing was going to be done about updating the system. I am absolutely flawed as to why on planet earth vodacom would still attempt to raise a debit order payment at the end of March from the very account that i had advised was the incorrect one and not the one that i had provided. what absolute stupidity is that??? that phone call was one of many phone calls thereafter where i have been trying to get to the bottom of why the incorrect banking details were loaded. i have been promised by a number of vodacom agents that the recording would be listened to and that the matter would be resolved. i have been told that the matter was escalted on more than one occassion and yet i have never received a phone call from these supervisors that i have been told are attending to my query. i am at my wits end because now what has happended is that recently on 07.06.2016 when i called to enquire as to why my bill for this month was so high, ie, R394 as opposed to the contracted amount of R194, i was advised that due to two unsuccessful debit orders from February and March 2016, there were penatly fees of R100 for each month amounting to R200 which i was liable for. i advised during that phone call that i refuse to be held responsble for a failure by one of vodacoms agents to load teh correct banking details after i had specifically phoned in to provide updated details. the agent i was speaking to appeared to understand this and assured me that he would log a call for the matter to be resolved and that i could proceed to just pay the R194 due on my account and leave the R200 penalty fees. i paid R194 and received sms confirmation from vodacom that the payment had been received and that proof of payment was not required. I was confident the issue was resolved until last week when i started receiving annoying calls from an automated voice call advising me that my account was in arrears. i tried to follow up with this but as usual i was sent from pillar to post one automated voice message after the next and even though i indicated that i was requesing a call back from a HUMAN BEING, i still continued to receive calls from this robot on the other side telling me to make payment. today, to my surprise, my line has been suspended and locked and i have no way of making any outgoing calls etc! i am absolutely livid to say the least as this is as a result of vodacom's *********** staff who are absolutely clueless and who lie to merely appease the customer at the time but never ever EVER do as they had undertaken to do. this has negatively affected my credit history at the credit bureau and moreover, this has caused a great inconvenience to me because i now have to change sim cards etc just so that i can remain active to make outgoing calls etc. the worst part of this entire thing is that NOBODY from Vodacom has EVER resolved this issue and it has been ongoing for the longest time. and what really infuriates me is that all of a sudden i am being held liable for penalty fees of debit orders that were not received as far back as February and March now in June! so this tells me that Vodacoms accounts administration is also exteremely poor!!! i want this Top up100 contract to be cancelled immediately and i REFUSE to pay any cancellation fees for that to be done! i WILL NOT pay penalty fees for debit orders not received as a result of your lazy and *********** staff members who failed to do their job. i want an investigation to be done on this to establish the banking details that were provided to your agents as i am 100% certain that i did not give banking details for an account as old as 3 years ago which has since been closed. what your agent did was to merely load the old banking details which were already on your system instead of opening her ears and listening to the new details that were being provided to her and now today i must suffer for her failures???!!! i refuse!!! i absolutely refuse!!! If this matter is not attended to and my line reopened within 24 hours i will take this further with the consumer ombud and name and shame vodacom for this abuse of customers. i have names of people i spoke to and an e-mail sent on 06.02.2016 which was never ever responded to and yet i was told to send an e-mail to customer care and that my query at the time would be attended to. i have reference numbers which were provided for each phone call and dates and times of these phone calls along with the names of the ***** that told me would resolve the issue. I am sick and tired of Vodacom man!! absolutely sick of this company and its people!
