INCOMPETENCE AND UNWILLINGNESS TO HELP!

My contract was cancelled with Vodacom on 10/10/2016 with proof of payment for the cancellation. On the same day I received an email from the retention department stating that my line is on prepaid. I took a new contract with CellC and upon wanting to convert my old number to CellC, they informed me that I am still a contract user with Vodacom, I mailed the retentions department again on 24/10/2016 and received a reply on 26/10/2016 : "Please note that on the SR cell phone number in question is not provided and when checking on the system under ********** 990 there is one number already converted to prepaid". I have no idea what this means by the way. Since then I received monthly statements and debit orders deducted from my bank account. I mailed them again on 15/12/2016 and pleaded with them to PLEASE CANCEL MY CONTRACT as I can't afford to pay to cellphone accounts. I have been reversing and stopping this debit order each month but with no avail they just deducted money again. I mailed them again today to please sort this out but to date no reply on either of my requested have been answered. I don't know what else to do. It doesn't help calling them as they tell you they will follow it up and lodge a query (but that just means "sorry but we are not going to let you go that easy"!!! ) Can someone please help me, this is just one of the reasons why I left Vodacom in the first place.
