Incompetence and bad service and knowledge by staff

After submitting a review on 7 December about one of my numbers that have not been working for around three weeks at that stage, Vodacom Customer care called me on the 8th of December, stating that I should do a sim swop for the number ***). I told the person that it was unlikely to be a sim problem but rather a network (HLR) issue, he insisted. I have done the sim swop and, guess what. Still not working at all, getting a "the number you have dialed does not exist" is somebody calls the number. So I now have to still pay more than R1400 per month for a number that does not exist. Incompetence - I have also reported this to ICASA and hope that the regulator can get something to be done because escalating within Vodacom is a useless exercise. Incompetence and bad service - the call center can't resolve anything, escalations to supervisors do not help and the customer must pay. I was an executive in Vodacom some time ago and I am disappointed about the way the company is deteriorating - I always recommended them but have serious doubts now.
