incompentance and lack of training at Vodacom
The Vodacom call centre people are not trained properly. I bought an electricity voucher using vodabucks and a debit card. I did not get the voucher number and called and was told to wait 24 hours. Then I called again the next day and was told where to find the voucher number. Then I could not load the voucher on the system using the *160* .... nbr. It gave me an error saying the meter number was faulty. The next agent told me to use ESK as the municipality code. After spending R10 and about ten calls ,I figured it out myself that the code should be EKU. This was clearly a situation of lack of training and problem-solving skills. I was given the wrong information from the start. It was very frustrating and cost me time and money. I would like some kind of compensation. This review reflects on the lack of product knowledge and training going on at Vodacom, I also found that the agents always wanted to transfer the call and I got cut off all the time. I was also put on hold all the time as the agents did not seem to know what to do. When I clearly told them what the problem was with the meter number. They seemed to think it was me putting in the numbers wrong or the voucher number. I boil this down to managers not looking into problems that could have easily been corrected with the correct info. It is beyond me why the agent told me to enter ESK for Eskom. Shame ... what a mess. I have screenshots of the messages also
