Inability of Vodacom to cancel an expired contract
The letter send to Vodacom's customer care today, says it all " Good day
I am beyond frustrate! I have being struggling to cancel this contract since MARCH!!!!! I was told TWICE now to pay my account in order to cancel it. Which I previously did and then phoned but the cancelation was never done. I now paid again!!!!! (an additional R460 because you cannot do your job) .
The instructions this morning again was to pay and then phone *** to request cancelation. Now that you have received my money, the voice prompts does not allow me to even speak to an cancelation agent and transfer me to Tobi chatbot who does not give a cancelation option.
Here is some of the history of what I have done to try and get this contract cancelled:
• On 17 March I call and was told to Pay R180.03 and then phone *** to request cancelation • I paid the amount the same day and called *** 2 days or so later and requested cancelation– this was never done! • On 11 May I called again to ask why I’m still getting statements and was told that there was no cancelation done and I requested an investigations. I was told it would take 21 days. • After this I was phoned by a collection agent and after explaining my entire sad story with Vodacom, again was told that ok, investigations take 21 days, I should not worry • On 11 June I call customer care and Jabeele and Maureen dropped the call on me. I eventually spoke to Dilene at cancelations and she transferred call to collection, Charles said he would log a dispute for me but then propyl proceeded to transfer me back to the Q when he said I must just hold on for a moment. After phoning again, your system said they can see I phoned a couple of times for the day and did not allow me to speak to an again. The voice prompted said somebody will phone me back – never happened. • On 17 June Penelope from collections again confirmed that the R180.03 was received but there is no dispute or cancelation request logged. She transferred me to Simbele at cancelations and Simbele allowed me to speak to her manager, Fiona. Fiona apologised for he bad services and said she will investigate and took all my details and names and dates. Fiona promised to call me back in a day or two – never happened. • On 29 June I spoke to Simone who asked me to hold on while she investigate and promptly transferred me back to the Q I called again and spoke to Janelle at cancelations who said she will log a dispute for me. • This morning, 1 July I spoke to Bilana at 11:10 and she said I must pay the R460.03 and then call *** to request cancelation – which your system does not now allow me to do. Now when I phone, I’m told I called to many times and my number is blogged for enquiries, I can phone *** at R2 per min. I called this number and was told I would be called back and be assisted by someone at the cancelations department. I was then transferred to cancelations department and without speaking to a soul was transferred to rate your service. I called *** again and now spoke to Lester. This was the first person who actually assisted me! He said that he converted the number to prepaid and he will loge a dispute. I also now received an sms to show that it was done. THANK YOU Lester.
