In Store Service Complaint
I had the worst experience yet again at the Gugulethu branch. Where staff members would so rather stay on their phones a little while longer while you wait patiently right in front of them over the counter hoping they will pay attention to.
I've been a loyal Vodacom customer for over 15 years. I had an incident where I walked into the store sometime last week to get a new SIM card as I had lost mine. Under the store policy and a sign out up in store "SIM is free subject you RICA in store" There was a lady and a gentleman who was still helping another customer. I walked to the basket like thing that has all these new SIM cards, grabbed one and walked up to the lady. I literally had to call for her attention because she was so glued to her phone. I told her I needed to RICA she looked at me and asked me where I got the SIM card, I told her I had literally just grabbed it out of the basket, which she didn't seem so convinced about. I know the RICA process I've gone though it before. She says to me that I shouldn't have just taken that. I told well if that was the case it wouldn't have been left accessible for customers and if she wasn't so glued to her phone she would have seen me take the SIM out of the basket or maybe helped me the first time I enetered the store.
Service is really putrid at the Vodacom store I've got thousands of Rands that go to Vodacom annually. I've never complained in my life. But they continue episode after episode and it's just unacceptable. Why does one have to travel all the was to Canal Walk or Claremenont to get good service.
