Impractical and Disappointing Policy for Relocation

I am in the process of moving house. I called vodacom to relocate my fibre line to my new premises. I am informed that vodacom has a policy of notification of 1 full calendar month. This means that I need to wait effectively 90 days before they can give me access at my new home (which by the way is two streets away from my current one). 1. Vodacom's relocation notice period is impractical and designed to be used as a "crutch" for a delayed services. 2. There are already existing vodacom customers and infrastructure in the location I am moving to (again a street away). It would simply take a technician half a morning to pull a line from the street into the house.

At this rate it is easier for me to cancel my fibre and go with Rain's (or Telkom's) LTE.

All in all it would cost me the same and be quicker.

Disappointing indeed.
