Impossible to stop Vodafone live charge

i have on numerous occasions over the last 3 months or so attempted to stop the Vodafone live charge of some R330 bill. Vodafone outlet at Clearwater says phone 082111. Phone that and you either hold on for some time or get a prompting service. Following the prompts, you cannot get to cancellation option, or at least i do not. A barrage of stop all SMS's to 31050 and emails serve little purpose as Vodacom seems totally disinterested. Been with them for some 10 years or so, but service is no longer part of their business - they are to big and MTN unfortunately has its own issues.
