Impossible to get refund from Vodacom!
In November I had to resort to this route because Vodacom insisted I qualified for wonderfully expensive deals, but not for the cheaper deal I wanted. Calling 132 just had them asking if I was under debt review - makes sense that I could get the more expensive deal, doesn't it? Once I reviewed them on Hello Peter my problem was resolved within a day, or so I thought... Now Vodacom has charged me for two different line rentals for the same month - you guessed it, the month of the upgrade. However, no minutes or data from the old contract was allocated or carried over, yet I have paid for both. I also could obviously not use 2 lines simultaneously. Calling 132 has sown to be useless again. The Consultants are helpful and friendly enough, they just don't solve the issue! Every time I call, it is holding for what feels like hours while the consultant confirms what I am saying - then I get the normal, "I've escalated to the refund department, someone will be in contact with you." I have tried multiple times now, multiple long phone calls, multiple frustrating retellings of my issue, multiple holding 'forever' while who knows what is being checked, and multiple times that this 'somebody' has disappeared off the planet and not gotten back to me! It is impossible to talk to this supposed department where things have been escalated to, and it is even impossible to talk to same consultant again. Two consultants have promised me that they personally will follow up and if this mystery department does not contact me, they will personally contact me. This never happened either. Seems you can't trust anyone at Vodacom!
