******* Vodacom stop orders . It is just me or are there other out there?

I am writing this as a citizen who feels **********, helpless, bul**** and ******. I just wonder how many more of you are out there and if this story does one thing good , it will expose Vodacoms shady business practices and I will feel at peace with the frustration I have had to endure with this cell phone giant for the past 5 months.

It all starts with the dreaded stop order. When a company has got your bank details, beware! I just shudder to think how many illiterate consumers are out there who feel helpless to do anything as a corporate like Vodacom ***** money from their account every month and they cannot do anything about it!

I have been fighting for 5 months and will not stop until I have got the bottom of it..

For those of you are are slightly interested in my story, whether you have had the same experience or not, this is how my sad tale unfolded, with the faceless Vodacom and their shop front ********* at Vodacom Hillcrest Corner playing key roles in this crime mystery.

I figured out at the end of 2018 that a mysterious figure of R189 was coming off my account every month . I had initially assumed it was for one of my daughters data or cell accounts however when I went into the Hillcrest corner branch I was told it was for a number that I had no clue about and when I asked for the signed contract attached to this stop order to be produced , they were unable to trace any reference whatsoever. Every person I dealt with at Vodacom Hillcrest on my numerous visits, promised me that I need not fear that the dreaded R189.00 stop order will come off my account again, with one kind gentleman(or so I thought at the time, being the eternal optimist) even emailing me proof of cancellation and that he would apply for the refund due!

Fast track 5 months, 6 more visits to the Vodacom “ I really dont care/ it’s not our problem” hillcrest corner branch and we get to the straw that broke the camels back. This was in the form of a phone call I received today from a faceless call centre person at the ******** giant. She proceeded to tell me that my “query” was invalid and that in fact she has recorded evidence that I in fact, on the 6th April, had agreed with a consultant to upgrade my account I had been trying to cancel for 5 months!!!!!!

She said if I wanted proof I must go to my now favorite place in hillcrest corner(SIC) and they will provide me recorded voice evidence that I in fact have now upgraded the account I had been begging, pleading that they cancel.. A sense of lunacy prevailed and I thought I had actually lost my mind for a moment.

Of course when I raced across to my favorite store again, another staff member said there was no way they can give me a recording of the contract upgrade I had agreed to.

I am writing this still with no solution in sight and my last resort (yes, I should have done this in the first place) is to go to my bank and blacklist Vodacom so that they cannot ***** any more money from me.

For those unfortunate soles who have had to endure what I have had to, I can only ask that the authorities somehow give the individual man in the street a voice and that corporate giants like Vodacom and their shop front collaborators such as Vodacom Hillcrest Corner are investigated and that ******* stop orders are ********ly prosecuted.

For me, Vodacom, shame on you. You heart is rotten as seen in your treatment of your ex employee and going back on your royalty agreement with him.. You are definitely not on my christmas list and I hope you pay the price one day for your ******* and immoral practices. I only want to do business with honest businesses in the new South Africa
