******* Subscriptions continue going off my account
I contacted Vodacom September 2017 to inquire about the high consumption of airtime Only to be informed that there were two companies deducting daily subscriptions to the value of R22.50 PER DAY from my airtime balance, I was informed that this had been happening on my account for months, I suffered a loss to the value of +-R2600.00 after a lengthy process of trying to recover my money from all parties involved and explicitly instructing my service provider VODACOM that I do not authorize any subscriptions coming off my account just to discover that there has been another subscription running off my account ********** day.
I have been informed by Vodacom that they have no measures in place to prevent ***** from occurring, there are no vetting process or proof of subscription required for anyone to access your funds, basically anyone can deduct your airtime with no permission granted or questions asked, not even a notification will be sent from your service provider.
Vodacom as a company accepts no responsibility for allowing these third parties to access your account and in turn relinquish all association to these activities, they are an institution which we pay to be custodians of our funds but they offer zero security or notification to alert their customers.
This is a serious but inconspicuous form of ***** that amount to big large amounts of cash that ********* are helping themselves to with the help of the network providers who are granting them access to your hard earned cash.
After logging this complaint on Monday today I get an sms saying that my request has been resolved yet no one has helped me yet? I called the call center back and all I get is "unfortunatelies and Im sorry that you feel that way etc.... but still no answers!
