******* Sim swap at Vodacom call centre

On March 7 2017 I had I notification on my phone no ********** saying "Emergency call only". I went in to a Vodacom shop in the Eikestad Mall in Stellenbosch where I was assisted by a very helpful gentleman who tried to sort out my problem. On investigation we found that a SIM SWAP was done on my phone without my permission at a Vodacom Call Centre by a individual who's detail I have. I was advised to buy a new SIM at the Vodacom Shop and went into my bank to change my bank details in case of *****. I reported the ******* SIM SWAP to Vodacom on March the 8th and received a reference number. After two weeks I followed up on my complained only to find out that they have the complained and are working on it.

After about three weeks of no response I thought by myself, you know wha,t we are in Africa and this is the way service levels are going.

On April 23, 2017 I once again received the same message " Emergency calls only". Again I went into the same Vodacom shop in Eikestad Mall and were assisted by the same very helpful gentlemen. This time Vodacom put a lock on my phone due to a forensic investigation. We were send all over Vodacom to try and sort out the problem sending emails, phone calls and phone calls to the forensic dept who does not answer there calls. We were then advised by a number of people at these famous call centres on how we should approach the problem. Not to mention that none of them were consistent to any advise previously given.

On Friday 28 April 2017 we were told to go to the Police Station and do a Affidavit that says that we did not give Vodacom permission to lock my phone. They said it hsould take between 24 and 48 hours to fix the problem. It is now the May 1, 2017 and I stil don't have the use of my cellphone, notwithstanding the fact that my account is current and fully paid. In fact my last payment went of my account on April 28,2017.

This is my last effort before I cancel my already expired Vodacom business contract.
