This has already been reported on 3/5/2017. Ref/S/R No 1- ********** ********** . I will get legal help regarding this, and will claim compensation to the amount of R500000 from Vodacom for losses regarding this ******* simswap. I must also bring the following under your attention regarding this case:

a.I received an sms from Vodacom stating that I sent sms’s to the amount of R3360.63. I hardly ever send sms’s, and this is obviously a direct result of the sim swap on my number. I will not pay for this.

b.I received numerous sms’s from different numbers swearing at me for ******** them. This is a direct result from the sim swap, and is defamation, which Vodacom will be held responsible for.

c.I have been working at the same Government Institution for the past 23 years, where I have been trusted to handle the bank account and financial business, without any questions. Because of this ******* sim swap by Vodacom, I will be investigated, since our bank account have been emptied.

d.The same day I became aware of the sim swap, another Vodacom customer in Heidelberg had exactly the same situation, whereas an ******* sim swap has been done by Vodacom, and her bank account has been emptied aswell.

e.The “Dawie de Villiers” case was published in Beeld on the 4th of May 2017, where exactly the same happened.

It is very clear that there’s a huge gap regarding security and ***** in the Vodacom system, and the customer is the one who has to pay for it.

I need to know what is going on regarding this, and if I do not get satisfactory feedback regarding my claim, I foresee that I will seek investigation into this matter via the media.

Thank you

CE Botha

Once again I received another email from Vodacom, stating that they will get back to me. NOTHING happens. Because of this ******* simswap, the school I'm working for lost R407000. I will NOT let Vodacom get away with a SORRY! This has caused a lot of problems for me.
